BRASCH GETS NEBRASKA FARM BUREAU PAC’S FRIEND OF AGRICULTURE DESIGNATION IN DISTRICT 16 LEGISLATIVE RACE
(BANCROFT, NE) – Lydia Brasch, candidate for Legislature for District 16, has been given the “Friend of Agriculture” designation by the Nebraska Farm Bureau Political Action Committee. Steve Nelson of Axtell, chair of NFB-PAC, announced the designation Tuesday August 17, 2010.
Lydia Brasch, along with only three other legislative candidates and 18 incumbents received the designation. “We are very impressed with the level of awareness demonstrated by these candidates about the importance of agriculture to Nebraska,” said Nelson, who is also first vice president of Nebraska Farm Bureau. “They all exhibited a statewide perspective on issues affecting farmers and ranchers and a desire to work on expanding agriculture in an effort to grow our state’s economy,” he said.
The Friend of Agriculture designation is given to selected candidates for public office based on their commitment to and positions on agricultural issues, qualifications and previous experience, communication abilities, and their ability to represent the district, Nelson said.
